French Women Don't Get Fat by Mireille Guiliano and Beyond Chocolate by Sophie Boss and Audrey Boss. I think I've found what I'm looking for!!
Both of these books are very accomodating of my lifestyle and eating habits. They are not about deprivation but more about portion control, listening to your body and recognising when it's telling you that it has consumed enough food to be comfortable and satisfied, and yet not eating for the sake of eating. Choosing good quality food and actually tasting food, experiencing food and not just consuming what happens to be on your plate without thought. Waiting until you recognise the signs of hunger, rather than eating because the clock tells you it's mealtime, or you pass by that gorgeous patisserie that is calling your name! Not eating everything that you have been served, but eating until you have satisfied those hunger pangs and are somewhat comfortable, yet not full. Getting on the move, exercise that can be easily added into your daily routine. Drinking plenty of water and generally eating good wholesome and healthy food.
I honestly believe that a combination of these two books will lead me to the results I desire, not a quick fix, but a longer term eating style that I can maintain and achieve without too much effort.
Loving these books, I feel as though I have a clear direction with where I'm going with this life change. Wish me luck!
